A Letter to Depop

Dear Depop, when did it become acceptable / the norm, to send this type of trash to subscriber's inboxes? Yes, it's true, I've been using your services for a few years now, but in your attempt to be edgy and relevant you've managed to turn at least one person off. This, the latest in a long line of issues myself and countless others have experienced.One just needs to look at all the other comments in your community;
  • Accounts deleted without warning / justification.
  • Listings, taken down without so much as an opportunity to correct misdemeanors.
  • Allowing sexually offensive content to stay listed while removing artistic floral expressions. Perhaps that particular subscriber pays to have their trash listed on your services... enabling them to get away with whatever they like. Listing Guidelines? What guidelines. Pfff!
  • Cutting member's following numbers for no real good reason. In my case going from approximately 98k falling to just over 48k! Do you know how long it took to build up to that number?
  • A "customer service" team who are unresponsive at best and have a 'computer says no' attitude at worst - when they do respond! What's the point?
  • You don't tackle fraud on your platform anywhere near as robustly as you could / should.
  • You don't take onboard or even appear to be open to constructive process improvements - for the better.
You've grown fast and haven't kept up with the needs of your members. I for one am disappointed at the need to write such a post, but today's email was the last straw.
I choose decency over edgy every time!
